step 4: final presentation Nov. 1 – 3
In this final step, you will edit your writing portion in Microsoft Word, making sure to include all of the changes that you needed to make. During this step, you should ADD TO YOUR writing a bit about why you designed your poster the way that you did. When making your edits, follow these guidelines:
Your essay will be 1 page, double spaced
You should have useda 12pt. font
You can choose from either Garamond, or Century Gothic for your font
It will need to be justified with standard 1 inch
Also, all of the writing guidelines (6 traits) that we covered during the 1st step need to be addressed in your final piece
Putting you work on the template
1. Make sure you are putting your poster within the boundaries of the blue lines in the template. As you see with the demo I did for you, the text goes underneath it. Refer back to my demo in order to make sure you are making it look exactly like that.
2. If you are having trouble putting the text onto the template, you can justify the alignment in your Microsoft Word document, and single space your document first, and then create a text box in the space provided in the template by clicking and dragging it out to the specified dimensions (the exact size of the frame width), and then copy and paste. Again, look back at my demo to see what the text should look like as far as the alignment and positioning.
3. Look at the rubric I have posted in order to 'self-assess' your project, and TRIPLE CHECK your work before sending.
4. Save your file as “your last name, poster” and send it according to our normal procedure
